The Elite Premier mattress builds on the original Elite with a thicker 2.5-inch polyurethane foam comfort layer over the same 12.5-gauge offset coil innerspring and high-density perimeter support, which gives it a noticeably more substantial feel underfoot and along the perimeter. The Pillowtop option swaps that layer for a dedicated 2-inch polyurethane foam pillowtop instead, adding extra plushness on top without sacrificing the supportive offset coil core underneath.
Craftsmen hand-assemble the Elite Premier in Sugarcreek, Ohio with the same insulation and tape-edger finishing as every Monarch Rest mattress, and the line stays fully double-sided for even wear over time. They layer insulation pads carefully between the foam and the coils to prevent premature softening, a detail that’s easy to overlook but makes a real difference in how long the comfort layer holds its shape.
The Elite Premier mattress carries the full 20-year warranty, and you can also add the optional PE Cool Cover upgrade if you run warm at night. It’s a strong option if you liked the Elite’s supportive feel but wanted a bit more cushioning without moving to a latex or memory-foam hybrid construction.
