At King’s Impressions, every piece of dining furniture is built to order from solid hardwood no particleboard, no veneers, no shortcuts. Our dining tables, chairs, islands, hutches, and buffets are handcrafted by skilled Amish woodworkers using time-honored joinery techniques designed to last for generations. Every piece is made in the USA and backed by our commitment to quality craftsmanship, not mass production. Frequently Asked Questions About Our Dining Collections

As a general guide:

  • 42–48″ round or 48” rectangular – seats 4
  • 60″ round or 60”-72″ rectangular – seats 6
  • 84″ or longer, or with leaves added – seats 8–10+

Exact seating depends on the specific table style and chair width, approximately 24” per seat. Our team is happy to help you find the right fit for your dining room and guest count. See our Dining Table Buying Guide for more information.

Yes! We have the option to add 12”-18″ leaves to most dining tables, so you can extend it for larger dinner parties and shorten it again for everyday use.

Most of our rectangular dining tables that come with extension leaves offer convenient storage inside the table, just under the top. This is dependent on the size of your table as well as the shape. Narrow or round tables are less likely to be able to store the leaves inside the table. Let our staff know which set you are looking at, and we can confirm whether the leaves can self store. See what this looks like on our Dining Table Buying Guide.

It depends on your needs. If you prefer intimate conversation and easy navigation around a smaller room, we recommend a round dining table. If you need more seating or extra table space for serving dishes, a square (or rectangular) table is the better fit.

We have nine different options for your island top, along with specialty options such as a cutting board, a drawer for wastebaskets, a wine rack, and more. Check out all our options on our kitchen island options page.

Many customers mix the two, armchairs at the head of the table for extra comfort, and side chairs along the length for a more space-efficient fit. If you tend to linger over meals, consider armchairs throughout; if you’re maximizing seating count, side chairs are the better choice.

Benches are a great addition to your dining table’s seating; they add versatile seating and can fit more people than chairs alone.

Because each dining piece is handcrafted to order rather than pulled from a warehouse, plan on roughly 3–5 months between placing your order and having it in your dining room. Timing shifts a bit depending on which builder you choose, so if you’re building toward a holiday gathering or a move-in date, it’s worth starting the process early.
